GAME BALL AWARD

Presented at employee Bedrock Meetings

In honor of our founder, friend and football fanatic, Scott Wolfswinkel, the Wolf Construction Services, Inc. Game Ball is presented to a team member who exemplifies all that it means to be a strong leader of a good team.   While there is no written criteria for this award, recipients all have similar attributes that have made their contributions award worthy.  They have overcome adversity, lead with servant hearts and modeled the We Will philosophy.  They have lead their teammates, crews or divisions through rocky terrain with strength and conviction.  They have taken on huge projects with confidence and compassion.  They have planned for the future and they serve their team. 

 May 2018, Game Ball recipient Gerald Beaman has been with Wolf Construction Services, Inc. since 2010.  A resident "Jack of All Trades" Gerald is a Foreman for the Iowa Framing Division.  His unwaivering dedication has led him to work in the Kansas City Market, Minneapolis Market, and anywhere else Wolf goes.  Gerald is a terrific example of a team member who encourages those around him,  Gerald's family is his pride and joy-  It's an honor for Wolf to be considered part of that family.   Pictured:  R.  March 2018 Game Ball recipient, Jacy Duchene started at Wolf Construction as the receptionist in 2015.  Jacy quickly outgrew that role and now serves as the accounting coordinator- responsible for payroll and various other accounting functions.  More importantly, Jacy is a force behind the culture and enthusiasm of Wolf Construction.  Jacy’s contagious positive attitude hasn’t gone unnoticed- She is a sounding board for office staff and the field team alike.  She immediately learns your name and is insistent that Wolf Construction is more than a work place- it’s a family.   Pictured:  R.  Director of Safety and Quality Control, Jeremy Burger has been with Wolf Construction since 2005.  Quickly proving himself as a leader and problem solver, Jeremy has served Wolf Construction as a framer, trim division project manager and now as Director of Safety and Quality Control.  Known for his no nonsense, get it done approach, Jeremy dedication to the team is unmatched.    During his free time, you will find this tough guy wrapped around his daughter Bianca’s finger!   Jeremy was awarded the Game Ball in January 2018.  Pictured:  B.  January 2018 Game Ball:  Mu Thoo has been with Wolf Construction since 2015, a dedicated and humble team member, Mu is a crew lead in the trim division.  A respected leader on the job site and in his community, Mu is detail oriented and has an unmatched work ethic.   Pictured:  B Hoch, M Thoo, J.  November 2017 Game Ball Recipients:  The most tenured team member at Wolf Construction, Greg Goeser is a Framing Superintendent.  Relentless is a word that can easily be used to describe Greg.  He’s relentless about finishing a job well and determined that those around him should be also.  He’s relentless about his family, and funny enough, relentless about travel and charity.   Minnesota Framing Superintendent Jason Potvin has been with Wolf Construction since 2010 when he started as carpenter.  Crews, subs, general contractors, and fellow Wolf Construction employees are humbled by Jason’s work ethic and ability to get tough jobs done.  Jason is focused and intense about finishing.  He’s a planner and a soft spoken leader.  The dad of three active boys, he has no free time!   Pictured:  R.  Presenting the Game Ball to Orv Otten in September 2017 was an easy decision.  Orv, respectfully known to many as “Coach” is the Director of Field Personnel for Wolf Construction.  Hired in 2015, Orv has served as the company Recruiting, Training and Retaining expert for 3 years.  Recently, he has taken on the challenge of Director of Field Personnel, seeking to spend more time with the field team, identifying and providing training and support to their skills.  A proud grandpa of two grandsons, Orv and his wife live in Ankeny.  He enjoys football, family, and is an active JOPPA volunteer.  Pictured:  R. VanDis, J. VanDis, O. Otten, B. Hoch

He was awarded the Game Ball in September of 2017.  Scott has embraced the We Will's of the company, is an eager learner, and comes to work each day with a "yes-face".  Most recently, he has been an integral part of one of the largest projects in the company's history by taking on the task of quality assurance and seeing to it that our scope of work was finished.  Scott continues to learn the ways of the company and strives to be the best he can be.     Pictured:  R.
